Re: Reply: A draft listing of WASH Training and Educational Events and Resources
Dear Kisarenge,
I believe the list of trainings that Dan has shared generally accounts for trainings that are taking place in different locations, by different training institutions ( and due to the current pandemic, I can only assume most, if not all are online-based courses).
What i would advise you to do, is you visit each of the links shared by Dan to find out more details about the different trainings and then select what works for you. There is a diverse range of topics, start dates, duration, fee structure etc..
Regards,
Chaiwe

Re: A draft listing of WASH Training and Educational Events and Resources
Hi Alejandra,
What is the link to the courses database that you mentioned? I found your website but not a list of courses: www.ircwash.org/wash-systems-academy
Also, the WASH Systems Academy deserves its own forum thread, don't you think? Do tell us more about it, also about how it's funded. I see the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation mentioned.
Hi Dan,
Have you tried adding events to the SuSanA events calendar yourself? The secretariat can give you access. Do you think that would be a feasible route or too cumbersome?
Earlier in the thread you had mentioned a Google doc. Is that this the current place where you want to maintain the list? If so, it would be useful if you made it read-only access (so that people don't have to request sharing permission just to view it). I mean this one:
docs.google.com/document/d/1xf5-UpMMwIwr...MNJaX4-d_PjyLaE/edit
Regards,
Elisabeth
P.S. I have merged the old thread into this one as I think they belong together.

Hello Dan,
This list is very valuable and comprehensive.
Thank you very much for sharing it.
As part of the WASH Systems Academy of IRC, we have been doing a list of similar training.
It is a database that contains details in regards not only to the courses themselves, but also the targeted audiences, fees, partnerships, and platforms.
How can I contribute and share it?
Thanks a lot!

Re: A draft listing of WASH Training and Educational Events and Resources
Hi Dan,
I am just wondering if that's the same list that you had mentioned in your forum post here last year which you had called "An inventory of WASH training events and resources":
forum.susana.org/54-wg-1-capacity-develo...urces?start=12#28965
(and I tried to access the Google Doc list that you had linked from there but it asked me to request access first)
I think your list is useful, I am just wondering if we can have one "centralised" list that is easy to access and find.
SuSanA also has an events calendar on its website here:
www.susana.org/en/news-and-events/sanita...ents/upcoming-events
(but that one is for events, not necessarily for regular courses).
I am just wondering out loud what the best place would be to make sure that anyone who is searching for courses can easily find what they are looking for.
Regards,
Elisabeth
