  • I am PhD student at UCL. My research is on risk management frameworks for container based sanitation systems. I shall be exploring the key public health risks to different groups using field based case studies to pilot risk management frameworks.

Re: Interested in Container Based Sanitation? Here's what you missed from SanCop...

Hi Ben,

Great video showing your technology.

The struvite seems to be produced so quickly, thats amazing.

- What happens to the solids wastes? Do you collect and compost/AD?

- IS there any waste water left from the urine / struvite production?

I'm doing a PhD on exposure risks from container based systems, and also looking at micro scale AD and collection of faecal wastes in urban ecosystems.

Good luck, I'd certainly be interested to know more about the SSA implementation, as would others I'm sure.

Re: Interested in Container Based Sanitation? Here's what you missed from SanCop...

Dear Esther,

Thank you very much for sharing this report. We are at Ecosec (French cooperative based in Montpellier / France) very interested in container Based solutions and were sad we couldn't attend this meeting.

We're curently working on european style container based solutions (Link to the video) for festival.

I started my toilet designer career in developing countries and would like to be back at it. We've been working on the attached solution (Sagnia) and have good hope to see it tested next year in sub-saharian africa.

We would be very pleased if you could tell us what you think about.

Thank you in advance,

Best,

Ben
