IWRA Webinar 12 May, 2014: "Can Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene be a Preventive Medicine"
The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) will hold a webinar in connection with their policy briefing:
"Can Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene be a Preventive Medicine?"
This event will feature a wide range of academic and professionals speaking about the connection between water policy and health and includes time for audience participation.
The webinar panelists will discuss how international, national and regional actors should consider the international goals (as evidenced through the MGD’s) as 'super-norms’ and should strive to contextualize these goals by playing ‘politics with principle’ to innovate the socio-technical and institutional dimensions for integrated water, sanitation and hygiene to reduce the threat from infectious diseases.
This webinar is based on the themes discussed in the above-mentioned policy briefing (available at www.iwra.org/).The policy briefing series was launched in March 2014, on World Water Day. Each briefing is written by leading experts in the field and are a synthesis of critical facts and arguments to help the reader understand timely water policy issues.
Webinar date and time: May 12th, 15:00 – 16:30 (CET)
