43rd WEDC International Conference
WATER AND CLIMATE RESILIENCE
Online with free access for all delegates *
9-13 September 2024
Register for the conference now!
Our title for the forthcoming conference ? Water and Climate Resilience ? recognises our shared uncertain future as we face the global challenge of responding to the impact the changing climate has on the water sector, especially on water, sanitation and hygiene services.
The five-day online conference comprises keynote presentations each day, and throughout the week over 100 presentations by authors from 46 countries across the globe will be presented followed by live, interactive discussions of peer-reviewed content. There will also be online exhibitions and live agency events from international organizations working in the sector including: The Joint Monitoring Programme (JMP) ? The World Health Organization (WHO) and Unicef; USAID, WaterAid; The Institute for Development Studies (IDS); IHE Delft; Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP); Oxfam; Frank Water; AMREF; ARUP; and Bristol University.
So join us as we focus on the pressing need for climate resilience, adaptation and mitigation within the contexts of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); disaster risk management; nature-based approaches; emerging technologies; flood management; water quality and water security.

About our conferences For over fifty years, WEDC has sought to develop the knowledge and capacity of both individuals and institutions across the world working to meet the challenges of the sector, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The WEDC International Conferences continue to be key to supporting learning and sharing, which is critical for progress towards global goals and aspirations. To this end, we encourage open and honest exchange and debate of our experiences within our changing environment.
* In the event that the maximum number of registered places at the conference is reached, priority for entry will be given to keynote speakers, authors, presenters, agencies, exhibitors and WEDC staff.
