We would like to welcome the Center for Development Research (ZEF) from the University of Bonn, Germany as a new SuSanA partner organisation!

Description:
The Center for Development Research (ZEF) was founded in 1995. ZEF is an international and trans-disciplinary scientific research institute at the University of Bonn. ZEF's overall goal is to contribute with its research and education to enhancing sustainable human development and combating poverty in the developing world. ZEF therefore cooperates closely with researchers from all over the world and with experts in the fields of development policy and cooperation.

ZEF research themes include:
- Governance
- Water Resources
- Health and Sanitation
- Food Security

Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:
Research and capacity building on WATSAN. Specificly sustainable sanitation and drinking water systems in agricultural irrigation areas and peri-urban zones. Focus on behavioral change, including school children.

Expectations in the Partnership:
Knowledge sharing especially on implementation of sustainable sanitation actions. Business plans.

Contribution to SuSanA:
Sharing research concepts, analytical approaches and findings. Country experiences, including ZEF partners in Ghana, Ethiopia, India, Bangladesh. Advocacy.
