We would like to welcome the Centre for Water and Sanitation Research (CWSR) - Cape Peninsula University of Technology as new SuSanA partner organisation.

The following text is taken directly from their application form and was written by the partner organisation themselves.

Description:
The CWSR is a multi-disciplinary research unit based at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town South Africa. The CWSR has undertaken several research in the field of water and sanitation mainly focusing on rural, peri-urban and informal areas.

Key research outputs include operation and maintenance of basic water and sanitation, user acceptance of mobile communal sanitation facilities, strategic framework for water and sanitation services, technical sanitation solutions for informal settlements, adaptation and piloting of CLTS in South Africa, an approach to reducing risks and hazards from human waste etc.

The unit has a broad range of research ranging from engineers, educator, social andenvironmental scientist.

Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:

Through research, training and discussion forums.

Expectations in the Partnership:

knowledge sharing and exchange of ideas.

Contribution to SuSanA:

Sharing our research findings and create dialogue to enhance the sanitation sector.
