Call for entries for the National Competition on "Identifying and promoting product Innovations & Business Solutions on designing, setting up, and operating Hand Washing with Soap Stations" in India; Deadline 6th March 2022

Dear Partners,
Greetings from India Sanitation Coalition at FICCI!

Given the challenges of building pandemic resilience at individual and institutional levels by promoting safe hand washing, ISC has partnered with UNICEF India to organize a national competition for identifying and promoting ?Product Innovations & Business Solutions on designing, setting up, and operating Hand Washing with Soap Stations.

Accordingly, ISC is now inviting applications from interested industry members, academic institutions, government offices, PSUs, civil society organizations, Individual Innovators and college/ university students for submission of their entries in in any one or both of the following categories of national competition:
  • Category 1: Product Innovation: Innovative Hand Washing with soap stations / devices / Infrastructural products and solutions which are hygiene sensitive, easy to fabricate, low-cost, easy-to-maintain, user friendly, have low environmental footprints, sustainable and can be scaled up quickly within existing resource base /funding available under major government programmes preferably.
  • Category 2: Process Innovation: Safe Hand Washing with soap infrastructure management systems with focus on sustainable operation & maintenance at the institutional/ community spaces (e.g., schools, anganwadis, Health care centers, public offices, private spaces, bus stops, railway station, university and colleges, market places etc.) that are effective, low cost, easy to implement and can be scaled up quickly within existing resource base / funding available, preferably.
Besides cash prizes and certificates, winners will get a chance to showcase their innovations at prestigious platform of UNICEF India and ISC- FICCI, which is the voice of India's business and industry and is the largest conglomerate of the Indian private and public corporate sectors and multi-national companies reaching out to over 2.5 lakh companies. In addition, they will get handholding support right from prototype development to field piloting from best of the mentors / hand washing experts from the industry.

Last date for submission of entries is 6th March 2022.
