Re: Working Group 1 meeting during SWWW?

Dear Dorothee and WG1,

Maybe the TOPIC: Memorandum of Understanding between SuSanA partner organizations?
on "Global Access and Intellectual Property"
please see forum.susana.org/forum/categories?func=view&catid=10&id=4429

might be an issue too for SuSanA meeting.

But maybe it is only a noble try to have SuSanA's own honest agenda in the light of global "access" and lifting intellectual properties by Obama's NSA.

Working Group 1 meeting during World Water Week beginning of Sept. 2013

Dear all

You may have seen in the SuSana June newsmail, that the next SuSanA meeting will be held on the 31 of August in Stockholm:
"Following the tradition the next SuSanA meeting is scheduled for 31 August in Stockholm, Sweden prior to the Stockholm World Water Week 2013 (SWWW). The meeting will be hosted by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the SuSanA Secretariat (at GIZ). The working group meetings will be spread out during the SWWW and the working group leads will communicate details in the coming weeks. Further information on the SuSanA meeting shall be circulated  through a separate email soon."

I would like to take the opportunity and organise a Working Group 1 meeting in Stockholm in order to discuss:
  • the possibility of creating free Sustainable Sanitation courses together with the SuSanA secretariat and UNESCO-IHE, SSWM, SEI, and other partners based on the concept of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
  • And the point of view of WG1 regards the ongoing roadmap development process (what can we feed in into this process? How can we take up the new objectives in our work and use this opportunity to reactive our working group for the next years (e.g. in terms of knowledge management and sharing)? how is currently active in the working group and where do we have common interests and a need or opportunity to join our efforts within the working group?) -> see also here: forum.susana.org/forum/categories/10-by-...draft-susana-roadmap
  • Any other issue?
Therefore I would like to draft a list of who would be interested in participating in such a meeting and will be attending the SuSanA meeting and WWW in Stockholm and when?
I will also check with the secretariat, how it would be best for people not attending physically the meetings to contribute to to participate in the discussions.

Best regards, looking forward seeing some of you soon,
