Re: Presentation on the role of standards and Technology Certification Platforms in FSM Application

Hi Elisabeth,
the sub-group has not been set up yet. As the FSMA is newly established, we are still developing an internal framework for running the organization.
Previous WASH experience:
World Toilet Organization - Programme Manager - Developed and led China Rainbow School Toilet Project & Floating toilet for floating school on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia.
Master research, Cranfield University, in Sanitation Ownership and Servicing: Access and Affordability in Antananarivo, Madagascar - The effective demand of a Loowatt toilet.
Publications: A systematic review of success factors in the community management of rural water supplies over the past 30 years

Re: Presentation on the role of standards and Technology Certification Platforms in FSM Application

Dear Mei Yee,

Thanks for posting your presentation about the role of standards.
I just have a small question. On your third last slide with the title "What's next?" you said:

"Set up a sub-group within the FSM Alliance for standards ".

Could you please let us know if this has happened yet and what it entails? I don't actually know much about the workings of the FMS Alliance yet, only that it is set up under BORDA in Bremen, Germany, and has funding by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Regards,
Elisabeth
