What is the status of the JMP and how much influence does it have on the intergovernmental negotiations?

I wonder if someone can clarify the following point:

The SDGs have been discussed in high level informal meetings at the UN over the last months. They have just released the zero draft here: sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/do...02%20June%202015.pdf

The indicators we have discussed here before, and there seems to be a difference between the JMP proposals and those offered by the expert group advising UN Water (which is an umbrella group of WASH professionals in the various UN agencies)

So my question is this: exactly what is the status of the JMP and how much influence does it have on the intergovernmental negotiations? How does it relate to the UN Water expert group (is it the same thing?) and other groups around the process such as the UN Secretary General's Advisory Group on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB)?

Will any changes in the goals, subgoals, targets and indicators suggested by the JMP have any more weight than any of the other groups pitching ideas into the process?
