Invitation to Global WOPs Congress

Dear community,

Euphresia Luseka co-lead of the Leave-No-one Behind theme has shared with us a very interesting opportunity. Please see below her message taken from RWSN LNOB Group:

"The 5 Global Water Operators Partnerships Congress, Bonn, World Conference Center, 22d to 25th of May 2023
(hybrid event, in-person and online)

The Global Water Operators Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) a UN Habitat programme based in Bonn, is pleased to invite you to its 5th Global WOPs Congress;

Reliable water and sanitation services are critical in difficult times, yet conflict, rapid population growth, climate change, ecosystem degradation, and an enduring pandemic are complicating the work of operators. Our congress, ‘Resilience in challenging times: mobilizing collaboration for future-ready water and sanitation service providers’, provides a platform to water and sanitation practitioners to discuss  how collaboration between operators can help them navigate these challenges. The Congress will gather WOP practitioners, mainly operators, and also UN agencies, cooperation agencies, financial institutions, NGOS, CSOs, local governments and research and learning institutions from all around the globe;
The Congress features plenaries, technical and regional sessions -accessible both online and in-person- on the first 3 days and is concluded on the 4th day, 25th of May, with field excursions.
Please check updates including registration on the congress on the webpage:  gwopa.org/wop-congress/ .
