DAY 1: 13th SanCoP Meeting: ‘Behaviour Change in Sanitation’- 21 November 2013

The 13th SanCoP meeting entitled ‘Behaviour Change in Sanitation’ is being hosted by Cranfield University on Wednesday 20th November 2013, from 10.30am to 5pm. The rationale for the meeting will look to draw upon DFID’s 2013 WASH evidence paper, which argues that “behaviour change for hygiene and sanitation, especially at scale” is a key evidence gap in the sector. More specifically the discussions will look to:

• Set out the key challenges- by identifying the current state of sector knowledge and practice regarding behaviour change in sanitation
• Learn from other disciplines- by hearing and learning from other sectors about how they approach behaviour change
• Draw upon case-study examples to make the link between analysis of different behaviour change problems and designing interventions to address these findings and to discuss the limits to our interventions and how difficult it is to change behaviour

If you be interested on speaking or facilitating a workshop on any of these areas or related areas, or know of anyone who may be interested, please e-mail a 200 word abstract to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Friday October 4th2013. As always, we are keen to have presentations from younger researchers, or from those in NGOs or industry, as well as those with more experience. We are also interested to hear from people who have experience of behaviour change outside of the sanitation sector.

Registration

To register, for this event please email the following information to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Monday 14th November.
• Name, position & organisation
