we are happy to announce two new seminars coming up.

The German Toilet Organization offers a basic and an advanced training course on sustainable sanitation. The 2-day seminars will take place in Germany in January 2016 and will be hold in German.

Basic Seminar: Sustainable Sanitation in emergencies and reconstruction situations: January 15 + 16 2016 in Münster

The 2-day seminar is designed to provide an overview on the specifics and most important aspects during planning and implementation of sanitation projects in emergencies and reconstruction situations. How can the primary objective of sanitation provision in emergencies - the save containment and disposal of excreta - and respective hygiene behaviour be ensured as fast and as sustainable as possible? Topics to be covered include emergency sanitation hardware solutions, minimum standards in emergencies, assessment, monitoring and hygiene promotion approaches as well as discussing typical problems during the implementation process based on a wide range of project examples from the field.


Advanced Seminar: Sustainable Sanitation: January, 29 + 30 2016 in Karlsruhe

The advanced training course aims to deepen the knowledge of the participants on sustainable sanitation in the context of development cooperation. The training topics range from detailed information on sustainable sanitation technologies and -systems to non-technical accompanying measures and financing. During the course we introduce various tools/toolboxes and will discuss project examples with regard to "best practices" and "lessons learned".
