Webinar: 'Supported self-supply: case studies from 4 continents'

Join us for the fourth webinar of the RWSN Early Webinar Series that will feature a discussion on the supported self-supply. It will present case studies of formal programs from Madagascar, Nepal, Fiji, and Colombia, as well as examples from rural Africa.

We look forward to welcoming some amazing speakers:
  • James Mihelcic, Professor, Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engineering, College of Engineering, University of South Florida.
  • Ratan Budhathoki, Project Leader for Climate Resilient Rural WASH, SNV Nepal. He has a technical, and managerial background with over 30 years of professional experience in the water, sanitation, and hygiene sectors, working with global and national development organisations.
  • Prof. Isabel Dominguez, Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia. Her research areas include water management, rainwater harvesting, multiple uses of water, the interaction between water and participation, rural water supply, self-supply, and hydrological services analysis.
  • Henk Holtslag has ample experience with low-cost technologies for self-supply like rope pumps. He is an advisor of the MetaMeta SMART Centre Group who train technicians in 9 African countries.
The session will be moderated by the RWSN Self-supply theme leaders Tim Foster and Diana Gonzalez Botero from the Institute for Sustainable Futures, University of Technology Sydney.
