The SPF Institute for Solar Technologies , in Switzerland, is organising a short series of 3 webinars on the 14, 21 and 28November 2023.

Details:
The webinar series offers insights into the basics of solar-powered technologies, the latest innovations and the implementation of solar-powered projects with real-world examples. Our panel of experts will guide you through the intricacies of using solar energy for sustainable, off-grid applications. Join the following webinar series to explore the potential of solar technology to
address energy and water-related challenges in the Global South.

  • Webinar 1 looks at the theoretical background of solar-powered technologies in the areas of photovoltaics (PV), solar-powered water pumps and water treatment systems. This webinar will take place on 14 November 2023 from 11am to 12pm [time zone: (UTC + 01:00) Bern]. (Speakers are Christof Biba, Kanchan Bohara, Dorothee Spuhler)

  • Webinar 2 will focus on the different steps in the developing solar-powered systems, from the initial phase of problem identification to the final phase of project operation and maintenance, using real-life examples. This webinar will take place on 21 November 2023, from 11am to 12pm [time zone: (UTC + 01:00) Bern]. (Speakers are Andreas Reber, Dylan Derradj, LaryeeA. Sannor )

  • Webinar 3 focuses on examples of completed solar-powered systems such as solar-powered irrigation systems, solar-powered water pumps and solar-powered gravity-driven membrane drinking water kiosks. This webinar will take place on 28 November 2023, from 11am to 12pm [time zone: (UTC +01:00) Bern]. (Speakers are Manoj Pantha, Karin Jeanneret, Lukas Bouman)
