Pl be advised that the event on 27thJuly, 2021, on NMCG and others, by CSE was very informative and is the need of the hour.
Pl feel free to enroll to become aware of the happenings, plan and designs and participate to implement the practices, indicated.
Certain principles can be followed :
1. To propagate all practices that have been time tested and projects in operation duly sustained over time.
As a rule practices to ensure them.
2. To seek some benefits in communities upon the practices performing well.
3. Both ULBs and political members need to participate with a firm commitment.

Launch Event cum Webinar: Making Ganga Basin Cities Water Sensitive | 27 July, 2021 | 11AM to 1PM (IST)
CSE is starting a new capacity building initiative on - ‘Making water sensitive cities in Ganga basin’ aimed at improving river health/flows. Key focus areas of the programme are Water Sensitive Urban Design and Planning, Urban Water Efficiency and Conservation, Decentralized Wastewater Treatment and Local Reuse, Urban Groundwater Management and Urban Waterbodies / Lake Management.
The launch event followed with a webinar is part of the series of activities – webinars, workshops trainings (both online and residential), field exposure visits, knowledge conclaves aimed at engaging 1300+ number state / municipal functionaries and other sector players involved in promoting sustainable urban water management. The initiative activities include – developing Practitioner Guides, implementing model projects / interventions in select cities (as learning centres) and a help desk to support practitioners requiring technical guidance and support in implementing similar projects.
This 3-year duration project is supported by National Mission Clean Ganga, Government of India – as a capacity building initiative under the national flagship mission - Namami Gange. This initiative is part of the series of ongoing efforts by NMCG aimed to ensuring convergence of Namami Gange Mission with national flagship urban missions (AMRUT, Smart Cities, Swachh Bharat Mission, HRIDAY, NULM) and other missions (Atal Bhujal Yojana, Jal Jeewan Mission, Jal Shakti Mission) at state /city level across Ganga basin states.
