Dear colleagues,

as I didn’t receive much feedback on the meeting proposal, I decided not to book a room but to use the lunch time for an informal meeting in a restaurant rather.
The meeting on sanitation governance will still be on Wednesday, 4th, during lunch time, please meet us at 12.45 at the SEI booth. From there we will go to a restaurant together. Please feel free to inform your colleagues who also work on sanitation governance to join us.

I am looking forward to seeing you at our lunch meeting, for those who are unable to make the lunch meeting, I am happy to set up individual meetings during the SWWW, please note I am in Stockholm from 1 - 5 September.

Dear SuSanA community,

I would like to draw your attention to another event that will take place during the Stockholm World Water Week in September:

“Sanitation governance – linking relevant sectors to enable scaling up”
Wednesday, 4th September, during lunch-time from 12-13.30, location and catering (tbc)

What do we mean by sanitation governance? It is the coordination and required linkage of regulatory, administrative and financial structures of interrelated sectors such as public financing, town planning, health, education, water and local government in order to provide an enabling environment for sanitation and to allow for efficient sector performance.

I am organising together with Nelson Ekane from SEI a (informal) meeting for a first exchange of perspectives and experiences on the topic. I would like to invite interested colleagues, who are already working on this subject.

Topics can be:
• Exchange on current and past activities in the field of “sanitation governance“
• Possible cooperation opportunities
• Further exchange mechanisms and future meetings
• Interest in a SuSanA working group “sanitation governance”

Please give me feedback if you are interested and want to attend this meeting until next Tuesday, 20th August.
