The German Toilet Organization offers four different two-day seminars on these topics:
Hygiene Education in Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance, 23-24 November 2018 in Cologne, Germany
This seminar is designed to provide an introduction into the various aspects of hygiene measures and the challenges of the aimed behaviour changes in the sector of hygiene. Besides the implementation and the understanding the different factors in influence of the desired hygiene behaviour, various hygiene approaches and measures will be introduced through examples.
Sustainable Water Supply in Development Cooperation, 07-08 December 2018 in Berlin, Germany
The seminar gives an overview of existing and local adapted technologies for water treatment and extraction.
Current methods and approaches will show how the sustainable use and maintenance of the systems can be secured.
Sustainable Sanitation in Urban Areas, 14-15 December in Berlin, Germany
The Seminar gives an overview of the challenges and potentials of sustainable sanitation in urban areas in the context of development cooperation and provides a well-balanced composition of practical group exercises and theory. The participants will be introduced into actual methods and approaches.
Sustainable Sanitation in Development Cooperation, 11-12 January 2019 in Cologne, Germany
This seminar in is designed to provide an introduction into the various aspects of sanitation. Some of the focal points covered by the seminar are social and cultural differences in dealing with sanitation issues as well as various technical solutions. Through the use of case studies, typical barriers and possible solutions for project implementation are highlighted and examined.
