Water Safety Plans Online Course offered by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The Water Institute at UNC is offering a 10-week distance learning course on risk management for drinking water supplies through water safety planning. The Water Safety Plans distance learning course is delivered completely online, providing the flexibility to learn and apply WSP principles and practices where you work.

The course teaches how to ensure consistent safety and acceptability of drinking water through Water Safety Plans. The lecture material is based on the WHO Water Safety Plans Manual and throughout the course problem-solving scenarios are presented in the context of case study examples and tools. A course coordinator also moderates a discussion board that allows exchange amongst a cohort of participants.

Registration is now open for the Fall (October 2016) and Winter (February 2017). For additional information on registration, course dates, schedule and course fees visit waterinstitute.unc.edu/learning/water-safety-plans/
