Hi Elisabeth,
I used www.easymoza.com/index.php?t=11 to create the mosaic. The idea was really nice but the only problem we had was to adapt the size of the photos and wait around 20min while they were uploading. In the end it was really worth it!
Only 1000 members have profile picture, which means around 17% of the forum members. Hopefully the next time we will have all the photos to create nicer things.
Regards,
Evelyn (on behalf of the SuSanA secretariat)

Re: 6000 members and growing!
Hi Evelyn,
Woha, that's quite a cool map of SuSanA members you have put together there! At first I thought the location of the profile photo corresponded with the physical location but then I realised that is not so.
Nevertheless, it is very pretty! Which nifty little software or website did you use to create this? And while you created this, what did you find regarding the percentage of members who have uploaded a photo of themselves (or a logo of their organisation or something similar) versus those who haven't? My gut feeling is that perhaps about one third of members has edited their forum profile (and added something) but two thirds have not (i.e. those who are either new or haven't posted anything yet).
Regards,
Elisabeth
P.S. I have moved your post into the existing thread where we had announced ealier member number milestones. It is quite nice to have this "history" of how our member numbers have increased.
P.P.S. If anyone now feels inspired to upload their profile photo, but doesn't know how to do this, please see here on how to do it (with video tutorial):

Re: 5000 member milestone achieved for SuSanA on 17 June 2015
I can now reveal who the 5000th member is. We were very lucky to meet her online at our SuSanA
open microphone webinar
today where she introduced herself. How fitting that it is someone from India where we have so much activity and interest around sanitation in India these days, also here on the forum.
Her name is Samyuktha Varma. Samyuktha is based in Bangalore, currently an independent consultant with some very interesting plans (and past activities in sanitation with IWMI in Sri Lanka for example). We will let her introduce her plans and reasons for joining SuSanA in her own words in this thread.
Here is a warm welcome to our 5000th member, Samyuktha from India:
And of course a warm welcome also to all the other new members who have been joining these weeks, making this 5000 milestone a possibility. We all look forward to reading your posts on this forum and to interacting with you - perhaps in a future SuSanA webinar as well!
Kind regards,
Elisabeth

Yes! We have 5000 members! We will celebrate this, and look ahead, in our open microphone SuSanA webinar this afternoon (register here: www.susana.org/en/webinar-registration).
We are happy that the 5000th member who joined yesterday will also be in attendance at the webinar, so we can introduce this person live! Are you curious who it is? Then tune in to the webinar at 16:00 CEST (Geneva time).
And if you read this and you are a new member yourself, feel free to use this thread to introduce yourself and tell us why you joined SuSanA.
A warm welcome to all new members!
Regards,
Elisabeth and Lasse
for the SuSanA secretariat

We are excited to announce that the 3,750 member
milestone has been achieved!!
When we reached 3,000 and 3,500 members, we posed a couple questions, and we would still be interested to hear more:
- why you joined SuSanA?
- how have you benefited from SuSanA?
Thank you to all members who have joined and contributed over the past years, and we look forward to welcoming new members, and the continuing involvement of SuSanA members!

Re: SuSanA member number 3000 is just around the corner!!
I am very happy as SUSAN member since I jointed in 2008 as global forum because it reflects joint global communication about water and sanitation .Water scarcity and drought become more sever in the Asia and the Africa so water sanitation is the first priority for water resources protection ,public health and recycling and reusing safe waste water.
I benefit of practical and research base discussion and innovation which implementable in developing countries.
Thanks to all for sharing the latest experiences.
