I am glad to announce that all the vision documents have been updated - including the lasts ones - Hindi and Amharic.
Thanks to Himanshu Verma (India) and Tewedaj Tekabe (Ethiopia) for that !
All updated versions are available in the library : www.susana.org/en/resources/library?search=vision2008

Re: SuSanA vision documents now with open access clause instead of all rights reserved
However, I am disappointed that the Hindi version is still missing. We have 651 SuSanA members from India (forum.susana.org/forum/statistics?task=map) and none of them have volunteered to translate five sentences from English to Hindi? Come on, Indian SuSanA members, someone give yourself a push...
This is the paragraph that needs to be translated from English to Hindi:
Copyright information
All SuSanA materials are available under the open access licence CC-BY SA. Proper acknowledgement of the source should always be given when materials are used.
This licence statement only applies to materials by SuSanA but not necessarily to documents and presentations by others that have been uploaded to the SuSanA library or SuSanA website. For those documents by others, please check their licence situation carefully before using them. In any case, always make sure you give proper acknowledgement of the source
Or how about someone from the new India Sanitation Coalition? (forum.susana.org/forum/categories/87-new...ganisation-of-susana)
The difficulty with Amharic I can understand a bit better (we only have 103 SuSanA members from Ehtiopia).

Searching for "vision2008" you find all vision documents (except the Hindi and Amharic version which are not yet updated) with updated Copyright Information (i.e. open access clause) in our library now.
I.e. here:

I'm attaching a ADB publication. Just have a look at pp.3, which starts as:
Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 IGO license (CC BY 3.0 IGO)
This is just for your information only.

Re: [SuSanA forum] Decision reached: SuSanA is making its publications open access (General announcements from or about SuSanA)
That is great news, thanks a lot!
There are no specific guidelines, we just need the following passage translated:
Copyright information
All SuSanA materials are available under the open access licence CC-BY SA. Proper acknowledgement of the source should always be given when materials are used.
This licence statement only applies to materials by SuSanA but not necessarily to documents and presentations by others that have been uploaded to the SuSanA library or SuSanA website. Looking forward to your translation and maybe some other volunteers for
- Amharic
- Kiswahili?

We have volunteers for the passage in Arabic, Chinese, Urdu, Portuguese and Russian now.
Volunteers for the following translations would still be very much appreciated!
- Amharic
- Kiswahili
- Hindi

Hoping to here from those members who could do the translation in these languages soon!

You can add Sindhi. Sindhi is widely spoken here (Sindh, Pakistan).

Note by moderator (EvM):
Thanks, I have corrected the "Arabic" in Jasmin's post.
The languages that she listed there are those for which we already have the SuSanA vision document translated. If you or someone else would like to provide a translation of the English vision document to Sindhi that would be very nice. It would make it the 13th language of the SuSanA vision document.
This is the link to the English vision document:

SuSanA vision documents now with open access clause instead of all rights reserved
++++++++++
Dear all,
As Elizabeth already mentioned:
The next step is to use the same text also at the end of all the SuSanA publications*, starting with the vision document which we actually have in 12 languages already, see here in the SuSanA library:
www.susana.org/en/resources/library?search=vision2008
Therefore we need your help to translate the new copyright information into those 12 languages for which we have the vision document already.
Can someone please help us out with the translation of the following passage into:
- Amharic
- Arabic
- Chinese
- Hindi
- Portuguese
- Kiswahili
- Russian
- Urdu
This is the text that needs to be translated please:

Thanks for your support!
It is very much appreciated!
