WG 7 Open Exchange: WASH in Schools Africa

Dear SuSanA members,

using the momentum of the 8th International Learning Exchange, the SuSanA Working Group 7 hosted a meeting on Safe Reopening of Schools in Africa – Insights and Country Examples. If you are interested, you can watch the recording here .

Belinda Abraham as co-Leader of the Working Group 7 guided through the event. The meeting focused on sharing experiences and knowledge on good practices for safe school reopening and discussing possible challenges in the education sector.
Around 35 participants from different countries including Kenya, Ethiopia, Malawi, Ghana, Zambia, Nigeria, Nepal, Philippines, Japan, Germany and the Netherlands listened to presentations about the current status of WASH in schools worldwide and specifically in African countries.
Interesting country examples from Kenya, Malawi and South Africa gave deeper insights into the safe reopening of schools. The participants also shared their own experience and knowledge.

If you don't want to miss upcoming events on WASH in Institutions, become a member of the Working Group 7 and join our mailing list.

All the best,
Jana Rupprecht
on behalf of the SuSanA Secretariat
