Re: Join in person or online 14 August: Strengthening Water and Sanitation Regulatory Systems: A Call to Action

Dear Dave,
Thanks for sharing the global call and the event. I just wanted to check if the event was recorded and if a link could be shared with members who may be interested. It would be great if key points of discussion could be posted to elicit more interest in the call for action.

Regards

Re: Global Call to Action Aims to Strengthen Water and Sanitation Regulatory Systems

For the last year, WASH stakeholders have discussed developing a Call to Action to strengthen political commitment to water and sanitation regulation. The Call to Action aims to improve service delivery, enhance public health and promote social equity through coordinated efforts among governments, regulators, utilities and support agencies.

Since its inception, core partners including WHO and IWA have worked to shape this collaborative initiative, gaining further support during the 2024 IWA World Water Congress in Toronto. The development process, running from September 2024 to March 2025, will include consultations, drafting and public reviews, with the final document set to launch on World Water Day, 19 March 2025. Organizations can join as core partners, engaging deeply in the process, or as supporter organizations, promoting the Call to Action within their networks. Post-launch, efforts will focus on widespread dissemination, securing endorsements and monitoring the initiative’s impact, with channels open for feedback and future updates.

If not participating in a group consultation, individuals can share their views via this short online survey: forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx...ySC4u&route=shorturl
