Sanitation and Women in Nakuru city, Kenya

Inadequate access to improved sanitation disproportionately affects women's and children's health and well-being. Women are crucial in managing household water supply, sanitation, and health. With one toilet shared with more than two households, mainly in informal settlements, women, in particular, are at a disadvantage position in Kenya and throughout Africa. The persistent failure to meet sanitation goals suggests that our understanding of the practices and their utilization, especially among women, is limited. The documentary captures women's lived experiences in Nakuru, Kenya.
