The recording of the 8th virtual conference on menstrual hygiene management in schools is now available!!
The Virtual Conference on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in Schools was held on 21 May 2020. This year’s theme was Innovation in MHM: Putting Girls at the Center and was aimed at highlighting examples of research and programming that found new ways to identify and address barriers to safe and dignified MHM particularly for school going girls. The conference pulled in the participation of over 800 attendants from across the globe.

What you need to know about the conference:
The 8th Annual Virtual Conference on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in Schools provides an opportunity to share the latest research and programming from around the world. The virtual conference is expected to bring together online over 1,000 participants from around the world.
This year’s theme, Innovation in MHM: Putting Girls at the Center, aims to highlight examples of programs that found new ways to identify and address barriers to safe and dignified MHM for girls in schools. Apart from innovations in products, services and facilities, this also includes novel, inclusive ways to end menstrual stigma and empower girls with knowledge and skills to manage their menstruation.
Learning from failure is as important as learning about success stories. Hence, submissions highlighting MHM failures and lessons learnt are particularly encouraged. Likewise, we strive for a good representation of geographic regions and background.
There are different ways to participate and contribute:
- This year’s theme is Innovation in MHM: Putting Girls at the Center.
- It's free for everyone to join.
- What’s new? You have a chance to participate in the pre-conference online discussion.
- Participate by submitting an abstract until 23 February, contributing to the online discussion and/or joining the virtual conference interacting live with the presenters .
