The Role of Illustrated Systems Analysis in FSM Hardware Innovation

Hello FSM Colleagues- We’ve heard some interest on our use of illustrations to drive the development of our pit emptying device. NC State found that simple diagrams and pictures to describe the pit latrine emptying process has been a powerful collaboration tool. We presented this topic last year at FSM5 and I wanted to share with colleagues here.

We grant permission to the public to use and derive images on slides specifically marked under the Creative Commons Share Alike License (Attribution-ShareAlike, CC BY-SA)

According to Creative Commons, “This license lets others remix, adapt, and build upon your work even for commercial purposes, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. This license is often compared to “copyleft” free and open source software licenses. All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use. This is the license used by Wikipedia, and is recommended for materials that would benefit from incorporating content from Wikipedia and similarly licensed projects.”
