Re: Virtual Lusaka Publication Launch: Towards Inclusive, Green City Sanitation for Lusaka. Achievements and Way Forward.

Dear Trevor,

This was a great launch and a proud moment for the team that worked on this project in Lusaka. Myself included. It was also a real pleasure to see how well attended the launch was , while also acknowledging some key local players Lusaka Water and Sanitation Company (LWSC), Lusaka City Council (LCC), and the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council (NWASCO) who took part in the panel discussion and highlighted the way forward with respect to FSM interventions in Lusaka. The publication is worth taking a look at for anyone trying to explore and learn from climate-friendly FSM approaches for city level interventions.

I have also attached the link to the session that is now available for anyone that might have missed it here:

Virtual Lusaka Publication Launch: Towards Inclusive, Green City Sanitation for Lusaka. Achievements and Way Forward.

Dear colleagues and friends,

I write to all of you to invite you to join a 1 hour launch of a publication focused on sanitation in Lusaka. The launch is digital and it would be wonderful to have you join us.

Title:   Towards Inclusive, Green City Sanitation for Lusaka. Achievements and Way Forward
Date:         Thursday, 27 August 2020
Time:        12:30 – 13:30 CEST

There has been an enormous increase in the amount of work and actors involved in sanitation in Lusaka since the large multi-donor Infrastructure Programme the Lusaka Sanitation Programme started in 2015. Many of you from the community have played a role in pushing the extension of sanitation services to the low income communities in Lusaka to achieve a healthier, happier, cleaner and greener city.

A lot of good work has been done, we should take a moment and reflect on it and celebrate it with the launch of the publication. However as we all know there is a lot of work still to be done and new challenges emerging that we need to design and build new co-created solutions for.
