Re: Webinar: Monitoring and Evaluating Knowledge Management in Global Health Programs
This deals with Global Health rather than WASH issues but it still has some good ideas.
Webinar: Monitoring and Evaluating Knowledge Management in Global Health Programs
RESOURCE September 25, 2013
On September 18, 2013 from 12 – 1 pm EDT, the Global Health Knowledge Collaborative held a webinar focused on the newly updated Guide to Monitoring and Evaluating Knowledge Management in Global Health Programs (M&E Guide). “Knowledge Management (KM) for Global Health: New Approaches and Tools." This was part of a series of lunchtime webinars held by GHKC.
Built upon previous work and guided by communication and organization theories, the M&E Guide introduces a standardized practice to evaluate whether various KM projects, activities, and products are successful to support global development efforts. The guide offers comprehensive guidance including a unique logic model and 42 common indicators to measure how KM contributes to strengthen health systems, foster healthy behaviors, and ultimately improve health outcomes. It addresses emerging issues, technologies, and innovations in KM such as social media, interactive usability testing, web analytics, and communities of practice.
JHU∙CCP’s Tara Sullivan and Saori Ohkubo provided an introduction to the M&E Guide, presenting its main components and several examples to illustrate step-by-step how to collect, analyze, and apply data and evaluation findings to continuously guide and enhance KM. The intended users for this guide include knowledge management professionals, communication staff, M&E staff, and program managers whose health and development work involves managing and sharing knowledge. These audiences can use the guide to facilitate consistent measurement, to effectively benchmark their achievements, and to streamline donor reporting.

Re: KM Webinars
Hi Dan,
Thanks for your wonderful suggestion and for creating this category.
I opened the webinar presentation on "Best Practices for Creating and Sustaining Communities of Practice for Global Health" and found it very appealing. Most of the advantages the speaker presented are the advantages we have also recognized in our Consortium group as the importance of working together.
Let's make this Forum a dynamic communication tool!
Good idea of preparing a webinar from one of the topics maybe "Best practices" can be selected.
++++++++

KM Webinars
Hello:
The Global Health Knowledge Collaborative (GHKC) is a forum for knowledge management (KM) professionals working in global health and development to collaborate, innovate, and exchange ideas.
Below is a link to several of its webinars that may be of interest. Perhaps the WASH Info Consortium can also prepare webinars on selected KM topics:
