The link below may shed more light on pathogen disinfection, especially drug resistant pathogen from hospital wastes disposed untreated, using plastic anaerobic digester, which we published a few years ago.

Re: Pathogen disinfection and bio slurry use with Plastic type anaerobic digesters in Cameroon

The ultimate purpose of this project is to develop an Integrated Organic Farm that mimics nature, reduces and converts organic wastes into value added products, which go along way in reducing running cost of basic commodities and possibly generate some income for a subsistent community. The following are the specific targets:
2 To set up an animal husbandry whose wastes would be converted into sterile manure through biogas digesters and the resulting bio fertilizers used to raise agronomic crops.
3 To increase the resource base of the community.
4 To exploit and enhance indigenous knowledge base in order to benefit humanity and
5 As such provide some form of employment for the youths of the host community
6 To mimic nature and reduce artificial interference in production and consumption of agro based products through a holistic approach to production and at the same time reducing disease transimission.

The anticipated outcomes of this project are:
(1) Improved productivity and health
(2) Available food and variety
(3) Improved income /revenue generation
(4) Job creation
(5) Utilisation of the waste from the Community.
(6) Re-awaken interest in nature-type production systems.
(7) Sustainable development.

Pathogen disinfection and bio slurry use with Plastic type anaerobic digesters in Cameroon

Dear colleagues,

As a member following up discussions on this. I will like to share our research findings via a group discussion or any best approach on this forum on" Case studies on Integrated approach to hygiene, sanitation and and crop production via Pathogen disinfection and bio slurry use with Plastic type anaerobic digesters in Cameroon. Thank you!
