Re: sewage sludge treatment process

Hi Toni,

Please clarify: are you talking about sewage sludge or fecal sludge? I would have thought that fecal sludge treatment and reuse is the more wide-spread challenge than sewage sludge treatment?

If it's fecal sludge then take a look around here (the fecal sludge treatment category of our forum):
forum.susana.org/280-faecal-sludge-treatment

To get a quick overview on sewage sludge treatment, take a look here on Wikipedia:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sewage_sludge_treatment

We also have a good overview page on fecal sludge management:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fecal_sludge_management

Also check out our 38 publications about Vietnam here in the SuSanA library:

Feel free to post here again with your more specific questions. All the best!

Elisabeth

sewage sludge treatment process

Dear All,

Biological waste from animals such as pigs, cows…has been used to make farm soil richer, but using human waste is a challenge. “How to turn sewage sludge from community to safe fertilizer instead of throwing into rivers which causes pollutant environment” - is the big question of government.

In the world, there are many sewage sludge treatment process. Some of them make waste water clean enough to release to the sea. Some of them reduce solid waste and put them into soil. But which is the best solution for Vietnam?

Please help us to solve this problem. If you have any good ideas, please share and discuss with us. We can cooperate to build a system which is suitable to Vietnam not only to protect our environment but also use that beneficial waste to grow our farm.
We would like to invite you into our team if you can share us a process in details (for example: Name of machine or technology, price, capacity…)

Thanks & Regards
