Sanitation and sewerage system needs a detailed reviewal and Rules and Regulations need to be formulated for the right cause

Dear SuSanA Members,

I wish to cite a special reference to this document giving details on the subject below :
Health, Safety and Dignity of Sanitation Workers: An Initial Assessment,
The details on this subject had been referred earlier in Post No. 29064 Dtd, 20 Feb, 2020, as below:
Under Item (2)
World Bank, ILO, WaterAid, and WHO (2019). Health, Safety and Dignity of Sanitation Workers: An Initial Assessment. World Bank, Washington, DC.
www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/publ...n-workers-report/en/
or:
www.susana.org/en/knowledge-hub/resource...library/details/3719

Further, I wish to draw attention of SuSanA  Members , to the conditions existent, while the Sanitation workers work in certain countries,  the Dignity of labour work also has been brought out.
It is just and fair that this Sector-  Sanitation and sewerage system needs a detailed reviewal and Rules and Regulations need to be formulated for the right cause.

With well wishes,

Prof. Ajit Seshadri, Faculty in Marine Engg. Deptt. Vels University, and
Head-Environment , VigyanVijay Foundation, Consultant (Water shed Mngmnt, WWT, WASH, others)Located at present at Chennai, India
