New SuSanA publication on Sanitation Workers

Dear All,

I am happy to share a new SuSanA publication in collaboration with the Faecal Sludge Management Alliance.

Heroes behind Sanitation

This publication is a photostory capturing the lives of sanitation practitioners on the ground in Zambia.
The German Federal Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation has been supporting GIZ and BORDA in the implementation of Skills Challenges for pit emptiers in big conferences in collaboration with FSMA. The Skills Challenges aims at instilling recognition among sanitation workers who are stigmatised despite providing an essential public service. The photostory was captured during a training the pit emptiers in Zambia attended as winners of the Skills Challenge in the Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition.
The publication would be launched at the AfWA Congress in Kampala and can be downloaded below.

Best regards,
Shobana
