Re: Construction site UDDT toilet

Hi Elisabeth,
to answer your questions quickly:

  1. Who took care of the toilet and who paid for him/her?
  2. How many hours per day did he/she spend on taking care of it?
  3. The container for the urine looks quite small, was it emptied daily?
  4. How is the container for the faeces accessed, do you have a photo for that? Is it by lifting up part of the toilet seat or is it by access from the back of the housing structure?
  5. Are you going to supply more constructions sites with such UDDTs or was this a one-off situation? Is there a potential market opportunity here?

1. We paid a women living near by during the construction time.
2. Max. 15 min
3. There are two urine container but yes - small. There is no use for the urine.
4. HAve a look in the manual (here) but yes you can take off the upper part. Very easy.
5. No market oportunity - in the case of interest we would provide it, but really no market in sight until now.

Regards

Christoph

Dear Christoph,

Thanks for this information, looks really interesting. Just a couple of small questions:

  2. How many hours per day did he/she spend on taking care of it?
  3. The container for the urine looks quite small, was it emptied daily?

  5. Are you going to supply more constructions sites with such UDDTs or was this a one-off situation? Is there a potential market opportunity here?

Elisabeth

Construction site UDDT toilet

The same portable toilet we used at the islands , we tested as a construction site toilet. See pictures below.
Worked out quite nice - the key was to have somebody who took care of the toilet.
In this case we made the whole toilet house in fiber and provided the complete house.

Regards
Christoph
