Re: New Research Paper on Conceptualising Social Returns to Sanitation Interventions
Thank you for the feedback. Ineed, tracking UDDT and its benefit can be a great addition to this.
We will try to include it in future endevours to expand on this assessment.
Best regards, Sneha

Re: New Research Paper on Conceptualising Social Returns to Sanitation Interventions
Interesting paper. An additional benefit that could be easily tracked would be to use a Urine Diverting Dehydrating Toilet (UDDT) where the urine can be quickly used to fertilize crops. The urine provides the macro nutrients that the crops needs an provides a much larger and better quality crops. Problems with developing countries with inadequate sanitation is that there is usually also inadequate fertilizers for the crops. Using a UDDT provides both sanitation and the ability to grow better food which could be easily tracked. The UDDT could also get the host community to adopt sanitation in order to get the benefit of the fertilizer.

New Research Paper on Conceptualising Social Returns to Sanitation Interventions
Dear SuSanA Community,
I am happy to share with you our latest research paper titled "Conceptualising Social Returns to Sanitation Interventions." This paper delves into the broader societal impacts of sanitation interventions, going beyond the traditional focus on health and environment.
In this study, we explore the benefits that sanitation interventions can bring to economic growth, and overall well-being. By conceptualizing the social returns, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the transformative potential of sanitation interventions.
We look forward to your inputs and suggestions to improve our efforts in studying the existing gaps and improve the evidence to encourage investments into the sanitation sector.
Best regards
