Call for public comments on "Guide Standard: Treated Faecal Sludge Compost for Non-food Applications"

Dear Colleagues,
I am posting this on behalf of a colleague from the Toilet Board Coalition.

IAPMO (a standards and certification body from India) and the Toilet Board Coalition, have brought together a team of scientists, academia and entrepreneurs to develop interim standards for compost derived from the treatment of faecal sludge in India. This is an important milestone for the sanitation sector as a number of treatment facilities in India struggle to deal with the biosolids that remain after the treatment of used water. With the formation of standards, biosolids can be properly treated, creating certified products and thereby unlocking an additional revenue stream.

The Interim Standards are currently open to the public for comments and suggestions. Practitioners, academic institutions, scientists, and experts in the sector are invited to add inputs here before 17 October 2022. Comments should be submitted by e-mail to  This email address is being protected from spambots. The interim standards documents is available here: www.iapmoindia.org/media/30368/draft-tfsc-interim-stds.pdf

More information on the standard and how to provide comments and feedback on the standards is available here: www.iapmoindia.org/india/codes-standards...ards-public-comments
Kind regards,
Daniel
