Recipe for Success: how policymakers can integrate water, sanitation and hygiene into actions to end malnutrition

Dear all,

Recipe for success: how policymakers can integrate water, sanitation and hygiene into actions to end malnutrition

On behalf of WaterAid , Action Against Hunger and the SHARE Consortium , I am delighted to share with you our new report which launches ahead of a week of events discussing the interconnections between nutrition and WASH at Stockholm World Water Week.

The report analyses the approaches governments and donors are taking to integrate nutrition and WASH. Through an analysis of national nutrition and WASH plans and policies in 10 countries, gaps and ways of working are identified. It also includes an analysis of multilateral, bilateral and private foundations’ donor initiatives and to what extent WASH has been incorporated in their nutrition investments. Finally, the report puts forward a recipe – or toolkit – of practical actions that governments and donors can start taking to improve integration.

We hope you will use and share the report:

- Show your support on social media using these key messages and assets
- Send the report on to colleagues, partners and allies working on nutrition and/or WASH who should read it
- Join us to discuss this topic at Stockholm World Water Week or at future events
- Bring together key stakeholders at the country level and discuss next steps

Best wishes,
Sophie Durrans
