Re: SuSanA webinar: Opportunities and challenges of achieving WASH behaviour change, April 28th, 7:00 EDT (New York time)
Here is the recording of the webinar on the SuSanA YouTube channel:
The webinar attracted about 40 participants. Thank you very much to the two presenters (Erin Swearing and Hanna Woodburn) and thank you to the very active audience who engaged in the discussion and brought a lot of additional points to light, be it via talking on the microphone/webcam or via typing comments in the chat field. Ada Oko-Williams (WaterAid) in particular enriched the discussion with her comments and explanations - thank you, Ada!
The content of the chat field is now available in these two threads:

Re: SuSanA webinar: Opportunities and challenges of achieving WASH behaviour change, April 28th, 7:00 EDT (New York time)
Dear all,
I would like to remind you about the SuSanA webinar on ‘Opportunities and challenges of achieving WASH behaviour change’ scheduled for April 28th, 2016 at 7:00 EDT (New York time).
We will open the webinar room at 6:30 EDT for a pre-webinar ‘mingle’ for all participants. Since there will be a number of organizations represented, we encourage you to meet other participants as well as join in the discussion following the presentations.
Log-on information:
1.To join the meeting please follow this link: seint.adobeconnect.com/seiwebinar/
2.Choose to enter as a guest
3. Enter your name and organization, and use password: webinar2016
4.For those wanting to use a webcam and microphone you will need a speed around 4-5mbit/s plus a headset or earbuds. You can enter the webinar up to 45 minutes in advance to check your audio settings.
5.It is recommended you close skype before starting the Adobe Connect platform to avoid issues with sound or microphone use. Internet Explorer browser or Google Chrome browser are recommended.
Overview:
This webinar will focus on a discussion of achieving WASH behavior change using a ‘low-key’ format to encourage discussion with participants.
The webinar will bring together speakers who will present their perspectives on how we can improve WASH behavior change. First, we will learn about how we can do a better job of leveraging the influence of community leaders to change some of the social and cultural norms that prevent uptake of healthy WASH behaviors. The role of both formal and informal leaders will be explored, as well as how to extend this collaboration beyond CLTS to incorporate it more into other WASH approaches. To launch a conversation about how the topic of behavior change can be furthered within the SuSanA network, we will also discuss how learning and exchange about behavior change can take place on the SuSanA platform.
Speakers:
Erin Swearing – Results for Development Institute www.resultsfordevelopment.org/
Hanna Woodburn - Global Public-Private Partnership for Handwashing globalhandwashing.org/
The webinar will include two 10 minute presentations from the speakers and half an hour time for questions and discussion with webinar participants. We will also open the session 30 minutes beforehand for a low-key ‘mingle’ among participants, where you can use your computer video or microphone.
Time:
7:00 New York/Washington DC
12:00 London
13:00 Stockholm
14:00 Nairobi
18:00 Hanoi
21:00 Sydney
The webinar is being hosted by Stockholm Environment Institute and the SuSanA secretariat as part of a grant to SEI funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
See you in the webinar!
