Re: Fly and Odour Control
The GSAP Microflush toilet is an off-grid, sustainable, eco-friendly, low cost, odor-free, fly-free private toilet that reuses a few ounces of greywater from a previous user’s hand wash (about 150 cc) to isolate waste and flush the toilet.

Dear Majid,
The Satopan is meant to be fitted onto a conventional slab and there is also a Satostool to address the preferences of people who prefer to sit on the toilet. Hence, it is quite close from a conventional user's interface with the advantage of minimizing water needs and providing a barrier to flies and odours. See the discussion on SuSanA here: forum.susana.org/sato-pan-latrine-with-c...nal-latrine-products
If you want something more "conventional", then a simple pour-flush toilet with a water seal is a good option. You can look at the Compendium of sanitation systems and technologies which presents different options for user's interface. It also provides references and further reading material such as drawings, dimensions and critical design criteria.
Best regards,

They are not perfect, and sadly there seem to be a lot of cheap copies around here in Bangladesh that don't close properly, but overall they are working fine.
