Re: New JMP report 2021 for households includes now data on menstrual health!

Thanks Ina for pointing this out. Agree that this is an important step towards achievement of the goals.

The report unfortunately also points out that the world is not on track to meet the SDG sanitation targets and the rate of investments will have be quadrupled to meet them. Further, as John Feighery pointed out on twitter , the lack of data related to  quality of water is baffling. Couple of quick reads:
  1. This blog on WaterAid's website gives a quick snapshot of the report
  2. This piece  in DTE points out the report's finding that India is not open defecation free; the share of population practicing OD has reduced drastically though.
Overall, the report makes it clear that the sector professionals will need to work much more to make WASH a political priority across the Global South.

New JMP report 2021 for households includes now data on menstrual health!

Great to see that the new JMP report, which was just released, includes now an extensive section on menstrual  health data.

A wealth of information and disaggregated data.

Thanks to UNICEF & WHO team to make this happen and contributing to growing monitoring data and evidence.  And hopefully, more countries are reporting data in the coming years.
