Re: Key documents for the sub-category on menstrual hygiene management

Hi Allen,

I've found this Save The Children MEL guidance helpful.

www.savethechildren.org/atf/cf/%7B9def2e...IONAL_GUIDELINES.PDF

I am currently writing a ToR for an external evaluation of a recently finished MHM project across 15 schools in rural districts of Uganda. If you (or others) come across any MHM example of evaluations or indeed ToRs please could you post to this thread?

Many thanks,
Lorna

Dear Allen,

Maybe the SuSanA Link collection for MHM could be helpful.

Re: Looking for tools to monitor and evaluate MHM project activities; and looking for past project evaluation reports

Hi Allen,
The SWASH+ project has done research into many aspects of WASH in Schools in Kenya among them MHM. On this WASH in Schools website you can find results from the research as well info on monitoring and indicators: www.washinschools.info/page/1380
There is a specific MHM journal article with findings on the IRC WASH website: www.ircwash.org/resources/girl-her-perio...ng-schoolgirls-rural
Hope this is of use to you.
Kind regards,

Re: Looking for tools to monitor and evaluate MHM project activities; and looking for past project evaluation reports

Hi Allen,

You may be interested to hear that a new "Menstrual Health Hub" launched last month, which will be a repository for all things MHM:

mhhub.org/

I would also suggest going to the WaterAid website and searching for "Menstrual hygiene" as various case studies and reports are available:

Cheers.

Re: Key documents for the sub-category on menstrual hygiene management

Dear Allen,
Greetings from Tamil Nadu, India.
In a recent study for the world bank - GOvt. of Tamil Nadu, we designed a interview schedule to look at the Menstrual Hygiene Practices in the State and the Knowledge Attitude and Practices with regard to three components - education and awareness, access and availability and disposal. Survey allowed us to find gaps in knowledge, facilities gap and also the areas of future interventions.
This could be used for evaluation of MHM activities. It can be further discussed

Key documents for the sub-category on menstrual hygiene management

Hello,
Not sure if this is the correct platform - I'm looking for tools to monitor and evaluate MHM project activities. Past project evaluation reports will be helpful too.

Thanks

Allen
