Re: Vault Content Research [Mechanical Properties]: Measurement methods and tools

Jamie, I think this would be an appropriate place for you to post and discuss your research including that related to the simulants that have been developed and also information about the penetrometer.

Also, if anyone is planning to do some research on mechanical properties, could you identify what data you are intending to collect and how you're planning to store the data. I'm hoping that as the database requirements of the various past, ongoing and planned research becomes clear, a common database can be identified/used.

Vault Content Research [Mechanical Properties]: Measurement methods and tools

This thread is part of a multi-threaded topic: Vault Content Research

Anyone who has measured the mechanical properties of latrine pit or septic tank contents (or anything similar) is invited to post information about methods and tools used, anecdotal information, and anything else that would guide future studies.

Cheers,

Andrew
