Position Description
The Fellow will be charged with developing and piloting strategies for maximizing sewage sourcing from private exhauster trucks and manual pit latrine emptiers in Mombasa. The successful candidate will possess skills to identify and implement collection opportunities, experiment with creative incentive schemes for suppliers, and optimize the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of getting human waste to WE’s waste-to-fuel facility(s).

Building upon WE’s previous research on fecal sludge generation rates, and collection and disposal practices in Mombasa, the Fellow will develop and test various mechanisms and incentives schemes maximizing sewage collection from various sources across the county.
