The emergence of many sanitation solutions has prompted the WRC to start a project to establish a Sanitation Technology Functionality Assessment Model. The plethora of solutions in the market, linked to variety of treatment process such as de-hydration, aerobic, anaerobic, chemical, physical, solar drying etc. etc. has prompted the need for this tool. It is a big departure from a sanitation technology selection tool, where there are many such available.

If anyone has or has done this kind of work or product, or have a good framework to share – please forward to me. It is becoming an issue and I foresee a great need for the assessment tool to establish standards in the future.
