Re: Urine-ponics for urban agriculture
Hi Francisco
Thanks for these valuable documents.
Let’s see what sort of discussion can generate around urine fermentation as a storage and reuse approach.

Hello Arno!
Thank you. For me is good to hear from you too. Actually, I'm working as a professor of Agroecology and also as an independent consultant, no with SARAR.
I'm attaching my e-book (2013) and the latest article wit SARAR (2011).
I'm preparing a new e-book (2018). When it's ready I will send to you.
Best wishes.

Hello Francisco.
It's good to hear from you after so many years. Are you still with SARAR? www.sarar-t.org/index.html
I remember your work to store urine in soil producing the fermented product that you are using in the "urine-ponics".
Please share with us more technical details. Reports even in Spanish will be good.
Best wishes

The urine-ponics is an adequate technic in urban conditions, especially in cities with deciduous trees.
For produce, you can use containers with drainage at 10 cm from their bottom. The containers have been filled with 90 % leaves and 10% of soil in the top, so, it better starts in autumn.
Urino-ponics use an initial dose of fermented urine, 1.5 liters to activate the biological processes in the container, and the
water necessary (approximately 4 liters in 10 liter's containers).
During the plant grows, the urine doses can be about 150 milliliters per week. After 8 to 10 months, you can
harvest food and soil created from the original leaves. With this new soil, you can start a new
process in the next autumn.
In Mexico, we have a lot of good experiences with families, schools and office building.
