Re: FYI: Nice & short video by UK-gov. on community based Anaerobic Digestion Plants for slurry
Dear Maye,
Just some more food for thoughts:
"Medium-tech" AD-sludge treatment plant for "warm" countries, to process all sludge being trucked from domestic onsite sanitation systems (septic tanks) by mixing with additional biomass.
Most of it by gravity flow:
1. Truck,
2. Screen,
3. ?Grease trap ?,
4. Low-Tech Biogas reactor (dome shaped AD),
5. Anaerobic Sludge stabilization reactor and separation tank,
6. ABR, Anaerobic baffled reactor (DEWATS module) just for liquid treatment of digester effluent (Waste-water),
7. Reed planted aerobic De-watering Beds for stabilized sludge,
8. Reed planted aerobic gravel/sand filter (CW) and maturation for waste-water treatment.
See schematic picture of system by BORDA association and their local Partners, installed I am guessing in Indonesia, you may know already:
Regards,
Detlef

Dear Mr. Mbéguéré
I would like to discuss you message openly:
I am not the "FLYING Biogas-EXPERT" up to now , nevertheless let me share with you what I found recently (not knowing by practical experiences) on co-digestion & co-substrates and others.
Sorry it is maybe too much on heavy content to start up... But zip through you will find many inspirations
I am guessing you mean with co-substrates the co-digestion of the substrates too?
General speaking having hopefully "rich" and "clean" co-substrates to mix with "old" fecal sludge should generate values to you, which you could sale, like energy and fertilizers for the benefit of owner and very important the operators of this facility very direct too.
I hope the attached PDFs are helpful to you?
Start with PDF "Future.Proofing.."
Let me know about the outcomes about you "digging" for know-how
Good Luck

MESSAGE:
Thank you for this nice video. We are currently piloting a program in Dakar of biogas production from fecal sludge. We are currently working on the identification of co-substrates to mix with fecal sludge that have undergone a sharp anaerobic degradation in pits. We would like to learn more on your side with advice and suggestions...
