Re: Join the Global Alliance on Productive Biogas! If you are a producer of larger biogas systems....
Dear Shri Christian,
I've got your mail through 'SuSanA". We're trying to get a toe-hold in professional hygiene & sanitation sector & trying to get this theme to common mass in this part of country..!!
India, though a fast pace developing nation, is more or less an energy starved nation with near outage of "Power/Electricity" in rural areas..!! resulting in unsclable loss of farms' output & cropped food, besides some trailing after effects..!
While at the same time India enjoys the status of having 2nd largest population of livestock, generating immense possibilities for 'Bio-Gas' generation' leading to generate electricity at micro level for domestic/micro entrepreneurial use. few governmental agencies have worked in this field but to no avail since the cost of technology & availability of hardware is impractical.
we'll therefore, like to request you to following points-
1.Any sustainable technology that could be easily available ( in India, in all respect, encompassing hardware/consultancy, cost etc..) that could address the problem of generation of electricity ( 2KW-10KW ) with affordable cost through the installation of 'Bio-Gas' plant based on
Bio waste/food waste/animal waste ( susceptible to any of them as per choice of the user.) & with the little modification the bio-gas could be used for cooking purpose.
2. Affordable solutions for defaecations for urban poors ( India harbours the biggest slums in Asia & boasts of the largest numbers amongst all nations.) It's noteworthy that the solutions like peepoople are unavailable in india ( www. peepoople.com ). & if it could bring the energy solutions ( technology that could lead the faecal sludge to energy generation...) linked to pour-flush toilets, what could be any better...!!

We've just begun the micro business of professional sanitation & hygiene for all sectors like residential sociery, govt. schools, offices besides raising awareness about toilets & cleanliness/hygiene amongst general masses..!! moreover, we've ties some of the bigwigs like 3M, Roots Multiclean Lt., TATA ( one of the most respectable group in India ) Bayer for their respective support.
