Re: Reply: pH fixing in a containerized biogas plant
Yes, the pH of the slurry coming out of the biogas plant is indicative of the pH of the digester contents. What is the balloon made of. After finding out the storage balloon go a good hardware store and get their advice for a glue that will be able repair and patch the hole with a piece of the material that the ballon is made of. Good luck.
Best wishes, Prakash

pH fixing in a containerized biogas plant
Dear Members,
We are an NGO operating a containerized biogas plant in one location in Bangalore, India. For some months the biogas is not being produced. We thought reasons such as the baloon which stores biogas may have got punctured due to rat bite or some reasons.
What could be the glue material to repair the puncture if found.
Also I would like to know how to capture pH value at multiple locations inside the container so as to check if the container pH is conducive to Biogas production.
Since it's anaerobic tank there is no provision to take effluent sample. Is it sufficient to take outlet slurry/ leachate and that gives a comprehensive pH ?
Kindly guide.
Thanks
Vijay
