Re: Education material
Hi Dan
Within the SSWM Toolbox (www.sswm.info) you might find what you are looking for within one of the following links::
www.sswm.info/category/concept/nutrient-cycle
www.sswm.info/category/concept/linking-s...ment-and-agriculture (ppt available)
www.sswm.info/category/background/backgr...utrient-requirements (ppt available)
And may some examples here: www.sswm.in fo/category/implementation-tools/reuse-and-recharge
Each links brings you to a short factsheet, which is completed with many further reading materials (downloadable as pdf).
The ppts and factsheets can be adapted and as used as you wish according to the creative commons.
If you use any material, I would be extremely happy to get your feedback!
We have some more ppts from our trainings but did not have time to rework all of them to make them available on the web (we aim at having them quality checked first....)
Best Dorothee

Re: Education material
Hi Dan-Eric,
Videos
Productive Sanitation in Aguie (Niger) - picked bcs it shows the application of urine
susana.org/lang-en/videos-and-photos/res...ypeitem&type=3&id=70
Sanitation Video in Ugunja Kenya
susana.org/lang-en/videos-and-photos/res...ypeitem&type=3&id=15 - picked bcs it is from EAK (but not that great)
What I like from Kenya are these publications from The Organic Farmer (initiative): www.organicfarmermagazine.org/tof/all_tofs - there are also some where farmers talk about the reuse of excreta. In English though.
This is the one (issue no. 45, feb 09) on Biogas www.organicfarmermagazine.org/tof/downlo...OF,%20Issue%2045.pdf
There's a section on the SuSanA site just for practitioners btw susana.org/lang-en/practitioners but I am sure you've already checked it for usable information.
What we actually need for the reuse side is a poster like this one from my bathroom which was created by (the Kenyan sign painter) Joseph Bertiers on behalf of GTZ back in the 1990s: www.flickr.com/photos/kikus/46015331/

Education material about importance and benefits of nutrient recycling from human faeces?
Hello,
is there somebody here sitting on nice education material about importance and benefits of nutrient recycling from human faeces they would like to share? It is to be used for farmers in Kenya so preferably nice instructive graphics, pictures, video or similar in Swahili or English.
Peace,
