Self-Cleaning Toilets
According to Bangkok Post (

), a Japanase company, Toto , has marketed a self-cleaning toilet at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Toto is Japan’s leading producer of sanitary ware and is a name that has been synonymous with the advancement of bathroom culture since its creation in 1917.
This is how the smart toilet works (

):
An integrated sensor detects when a person approaches the toilet
The lid opens automatically
You can set the contoured seat to your preferred temperature to keep it comfortable and warm in a cold room
The deodorizer starts automatically to gradually absorb odours
The wand sprays warm water for thorough cleaning
The water jets have a normal, oscillating and massage settings
After washing is complete, the dryer can be activated
Once you are finished using the toilet, the deodorizer doubles its odor-eliminating efforts
While that would be beyond the reach of people in developing countries, it can be suitable for high-class hotels, frequented by tourists from developed countries.
