Dear Elisabeth,
That is a good idea. I did not think about the benefits of adding the titles of the presentations into the library entry when creating it. The next time, you check the entry, it will be changed!
Best regards,
Finn
PS thank you for the reminder about this thread

Re: 30th SuSanA Meeting from 17th to 28th August (online) - all presentations and recordings now available
Great work, thank you so much Finn!! I really like the page with all the presentations and recordings from the 30th SuSanA meeting (
www.susana.org/en/news-and-events/sanita...-28th-of-august-2020
).
And it's great that you have already created a library entry for it here: www.susana.org/en/knowledge-hub/resource...library/details/3922 However, it's really important that all the presentation titles are included in the library entry's summary field so that the presentations can be found when someone uses keyword searches. It may not look pretty but it's practical and important so that people can find them also through our library search methods.
See here how it was done for the FSM5 presentations:
www.susana.org/en/knowledge-hub/resource...library/details/3703
(I put this into a post rather than a direct e-mail because I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that the SuSanA meeting presentations are available on the website and in the SuSanA library. Thanks.)
Regards,
Elisabeth

Dear participants of the 30th SuSanA Meeting,
The first week of the 30th SuSanA meeting is over and we would like to send a big thank you in all directions of the globe! We are amazed by the number of participants, the various inputs, questions and comments from you in the different sessions throughout the first week of #SuSanA30.* This only reaffirms the strengths of the SuSanA community, its members and partners!
We are looking forward to the sessions of the second week of the 30th SuSanA Meeting and we hope to see most of you (again)!
Please make sure to be registered at least 90 minutes before the session starts, as the session link and password will be shared through

Re: 30th SuSanA Meeting from 17th to 28th August - Registration is now open!
Dear Jemal,
once you have registered for a session, the registration will persist, even if the time of the session changes. I hope that you will still be able to attend the Open Discussion session. However, if you cannot attend due to the changes in time, you will be able to watch it, as the sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the SuSanA library!
Best regards
Finn

Re: 30th SuSanA Meeting from 17th to 28th August - Registration is now open!
Dear Elisabeth,
You were wondering about the advantages of running the opening plenary on our Youtube and Facebook channel in parallel.
Even though the plenary session was successful from our point of view, I would like to share our decision making process for streaming on these platforms:
The advantage of the tool we used, which is called StreamYard, is, that, besides the possibility to stream on different platforms and therefore having a wider audience and further outreach, that one can create banners, insert logos, display videos as well as having some further design options for the stream. Furthermore, there is no interference in the form that participants forgot to mute their audio or turn off their camera. There was no cost involved for StreamYard, as we used the free version, just our time and capacities and support in design (thanks to Torrencia Cardinal for support!)
Regarding your question "Doesn't that split the discussion chats and make it harder to keep track of everything?" I would say that with the tool we used it was possible to integrate the comments from youtube and facebook at the same time and displaying chosen comments on the screen, allowing for interactions with the audience from both platforms and rather merging them than splitting the discussion.
The other question regarding the sharing of the session links:
We discussed the possibility of posting the links and access details in our social media and open platforms, such as the forum, but in order to avoid the risk of hacking or spamming, we are sending it only to registered participants one day, and again one hour before the session starts. We have informed on our social media the necessity to be registered at least 90 minutes before the session starts (as we download the latest registrations manually about 75 minutes before the session starts).
For the sessions we decided not to use the possibility of streaming live to facebook and youtube, as in zoom, MS Teams and Adobe participants have the possibility to directly interact with the presenters by raising the hand, typing in the chat or unmuting their microphones.
And yes, registration is still open and we kindly ask participants to register for the sessions they want to attend at least 90 minutes before the meeting starts.

Re: 30th SuSanA Meeting from 17th to 28th August - Registration is now open!
Dear Finn and organisers,
Would it be possible that the session links/details are also posted in this thread on the day of the event, or are they only being sent to registered participants? The reason why I am asking is because if I spontaneously decide to attend an additional webinar (one that I haven't registered for), can I still do that or do I have to register (I note it seems not possible to change one's registration)? If the latter, will my registration be instant or does it require human intervention?
The plenary session was on a convenient platform (it seemed that no login was required, just the link to the Youtube channel. Why are you not putting more of them on the Youtube channel, or is there a cost involved?
Thank you for sending out those e-mail reminders for registered participants by the way, they really work for me!
And for all: I am assuming registration is still open, see here: www.susana.org/en/registration-30th-susana-meeting

Hi Barry,
The online presentations are currently taking place here on Youtube live:
Regards,
Elisabeth
P.S. Question to the secretariat: I am wondering what the advantage is of running them on the Youtube channel and on the Facebook channel in parallel. Doesn't that split the discussion chats and make it harder to keep track of everything?
